Past Saluki Families of the Year
2021 Saluki Family of the Year Contest
New Student Programs is hosting a contest for your family to be named Family of the Year during Saluki Family Weekend, September 24th-26th! A committee will select one legacy family and one non-legacy family for our contest! (Legacy = parent or guardian is an SIU Carbondale graduate.)
The two Families of the Year will receive a prize package including a one-night stay at the Hampton Inn Carbondale during Family Weekend, football tickets to SIU vs. Illinois State, Saluki swag and more!
How to enter the contest:
Complete the form below, which provides the option to answer the following questions via a written statement or video submission:
1) Why are you proud to be a part of the Saluki family?
2) Why should your family be selected as the 2021 Saluki Family of the Year?
Entries must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 10th. Winners will be notified by Wednesday, September 15th. A panel of judges will review all submissions based on creativity, family support, enthusiasm and execution.
